Pro Tip: These bladeless squid trolling rigs are unique, and I’ve found great success when used correctly and targeting Kokanee Salmon. Bladeless squids were designed to be tied approximately 8 inches behind a dodger. Tying the squid close to the dodge allows the dodger to move the squid without a spinner blade. Personally, I use the bladeless squid 8 inches behind a 6” dodger on the downrigger.
